Our office is happy to provide physical therapy and wellness treatments to the community. Physical therapy provides individualized programs to rehabilitate your injuries and facilitate your recovery from surgery. This is accomplished by combining hands-on techniques with education and exercises that are custom tailored to each patient. This multi-faceted approach quickly helps to decrease pain and speed up the recovery process.
Our goal is to avoid expensive surgery and the need for long-term use of prescription medications. The purpose of physical therapy is to reduce pain, restore function, and prevent disability. Physical therapists also work with patients to prevent the loss of mobility before it occurs by developing programs for healthier and more active lifestyles.
If conservative treatments prove to be inadequate, orthopedic surgery may be necessary. We are excited to have Peter Borden, M.D. providing his expertise to our patients every other Wednesday. Dr. Borden is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon and fellowship trained sports medicine specialist. His expertise lies in the treatment of various musculoskeletal disorders and injuries with an emphasis on the shoulder, knee, elbow, and ankle.
Although his practice includes state-of-the-art care of fractures and orthopaedic trauma, his primary focus is on the treatment of injuries to ligaments, cartilage, tendons, and muscles. His true specialty lies in the surgical field of arthroscopy.
In addition to treating acute injuries in young healthy athletes, his practice also caters to injuries of the recreational "weekend warrior" and older individuals who are experiencing problems of a degenerative nature.
